Even if Manchester United will succeed in eliminating Chelsea FC from the UEFA Champions League, Carlo Ancelotti is confident in his stay at the club in London until the end of his contract. Previous managers have been for less reasons than a trophyless season, though he remains defiant and apparently assured that he will be able to see out the final 12 months of his current deal at least.

Arsenal FC of London will become the 10th Premier League side to fall into foreign ownership, as American businessman Stan Kroenke has increased his shareholding in Arsenal to 62.89%, and indends to make an offer for the rest of the club.

The NFLPA, the union representing the players in the NFL, filed a court application to dissolve itself after failing to agree with the league and team owners and started a crisis with the possibility of a first work stoppage of the NFL in almost a quarter of a century when negotiations over a new labor deal collapsed on Friday.

The Champions League last-16 match last night brought a comfortable 2-0 victory for Chelsea at FC Copenhagen, taking the London team one step closer to the quarterfinals of the competition and easing the pressure on manager Carlo Ancelotti, after some unconvincing performances in the domestic league which pushed the English champions to the fifth position.
