If certain regulations do not make you think twice before you consume alcohol heavily, maybe the fact that one too many drinks can increase the risk of cancer will. A recent study suggests that drinking more than a pint of beer every day substantially increases the risk of developing cancer.

French company Christian Dior temporarily suspended its fashion designer John Galliano on Friday, until the end of an investigation regarding some alleged racist remarks of the designer at a couple in a bar in the Marais district in Paris a day before.

Vancouver has succeeded for the fifth time in a row to claim the first position in the list of world’s most liveable cities. With Melbourne on the second spot and Vienna on the third one, the rest of the top ten was dominated by Australian and Canadian urban residences.

The French newspaper Journal du Dimanche cited unnamed friends of French former President Jacques Chirac, according to whom he was suffering from memory lapses and his wife feared he had Alzheimer’s disease. This led to numerous speculations, especially since Chirac was facing two sets of allegations of corruption from his time as mayor of Paris, his trial being scheduled to start on March 7.
